    • He he he…..it was hard coming up with achievable things….I had to add some because my 101 list had things like walk the Great Wall of China….well, that ain’t happening within the next 5 years that’s for sure! Lol

      Thanks Julie :)

      Xx

  1. Great list. I’ll get there two months before you, I might have to come up with my own list. I like the cheese connoisseur, I would definitely devote a lot of time to perfecting that one! If you want some company in the hot air balloon, let me know; I’d love to do that but no way would I talk Phillip into it!

  3. I’ve been to New York and Pompeii. I’ve also had a professional massage.your list reminded me that I have a large crossstitch over 10 years old that I need to complete as well. Good luck to you!

  4. Well, I’m waaay older than you. I made a bucket list a few years ago and have done most things on it including visiting Troy and starting a blog.

  5. This is a great idea. I’ve done a few of these things but by far the best one was skydiving. You have to do it, it’s the most amazing experience. If you only do one of these things, make it this one!
This has made me want to put my own together now. Enjoy getting through it xxx

  6. Well you’ve set yourself a real challenge there. I’m pleased to see I have managed a few off your list. I see you didn’t include the Great Wall of China but I have been there. Went up but was too high for me to walk the walk. I took piano lessons when the children went to school as I had always wanted to play BUT if you want to go to the IOW for a weekend go and stay at Osborne House. We did it a few years ago in June when the weather was beautiful and it was brilliant. We felt like royalty for those few days. Good Luck with them all!

  7. Beautiful, I hope you tick off every single one! I’ve done a handful of pickings off your list but none of the more exciting ones.
From mine: Ziplining. I’m working up to skydiving. It was a blast!
Also from mine: Go to London. I’ve got 2 years. four months to work on that one. ;-)
    Good luck Vikki :-)

  8. you should organise the weekend writing retreat – do it for a weekend in 2014 to give overseas bloggers chance to save up to come then pick a location and we can all descend upon it and have picnics on the beach (under umbrellas of course) while comparing notebooks :D

  9. Hi – well as I’m past 50 …OMG! I can list what I have done against your list:
    Have a book published.
    See Da Vinci’s Last Supper.
    See an opera.
    Attend an auction.
Go strawberry picking and make my own jam.
    Get a qualification.
    Have my palm read.
    Touch Stonehenge.
    See the Mona Lisa.
Decorate my house from top to bottom!
    Be able to draw/sketch.
Have a weekend in the Isle of Wight.
    Have a professional massage.
    Go to Glastonbury Tor.
    Learn how to knit.
    Have a professional photo session.
Go to the Paris flea market.
    Learn to ride my bike!
    Have a weekend writing retreat
    As for my list -
Go to the Great Wall of China
    See Victoria Falls in Africa
    Get more books published
    Go back to Italy
See Shakespeare play at the Globe (planning 2014 for this one!)
Good luck to you Vikki…its a matter of committing to do them. Life just gets faster unfortunately.

Start a collection/collecting something (other than books!).
    Have my own home office/study.

    Discover my life’s purpose (?????).
    Read all my writing guides

    Start volunteering again.

  10. I forgot the last few things I do volunteer for my writers group and my collection was Chinese & Japanese items. As for writing guides – well they ‘breed’ so you will never get to the end of them!

  11. I might do one of these lists! I want to go to New York, too – or New England – can’t decide! I’ve touched Stonehenge back in the 70s when it was ok for kids to climb all over it. We have old cine-camera footage of us on it! Quilt, health-spa and massage would all be on my list, too! Pompeii is coming to us (ish) – I believe the British Museum is having the relics from Pompeii and Herculaneum this Spring.

    • I saw you did a list Bel (will have a read tomorrow) good for you! It’s always nice to have something to look forward to I think, and as writers, we should experience EVERYTHING! ;)

Oh, I know, I’m gutted about Stonehenge!

Yes, I saw that at the British Musuem…I’m hoping to catch it just before my Faber course ends (as I’m in the BM virtually every Monday lol
