The To Do List 20th to 26th August

I should really go back to the last to do list, and see what I managed to achieve….but, what’s the point in beating myself up right? It was 2 weeks ago now lol.

My week at Swanwick taught me lots, but the main thing I came away thinking was that I need to be more focused lol. Yeah yeah, I knew that anyway, but, being surrounded by dedicated published writers made me realise that if I want to achieve my dreams, I really need to pull my finger out πŸ™‚

So…..

1. Finish my current read. That should be easy as I’m really enjoying it.
2. Go through all my Swanwick notes and look up web sites, books, authors etc, who were recommended to me. This will probably take me a couple of days! Lol
3. E mail people I said I would at Swanwick.
4. Catch up with my prompts.
5. Start implementing the desk idea. Ahhhhh, now this is exciting πŸ™‚
6. Start making notes on my M & B novel. πŸ˜‰

There, that should be pretty achievable ha ha ha!

  1. What’s the desk idea? that sounds like fun….. please tell :). I wish I could be as organised as you 😦 . I have enough problems trying to find myself an hour to read all the blogs I follow. Oh well, maybe one day πŸ™‚ x

  2. Your To-Do list idea always gets me Ma’m. I have implemented this idea too – hope it will bring some organisation in my life πŸ˜›

Today we have Eid here and I went to the Mosque yesterday ( because I had a holiday yesterday and not today ). Even though I am not a muslim, it always feels just so … right… every year when I visit the Jama Masjid in Delhi. I feel the vibes. India, my country is a tossed salad of sorts with every religion calling it her Home. Visiting mosques on such occasions reaffirms this belief. So, in short- its been an awesome day so far πŸ™‚

  3. Wow, what a great list! Lately, I feel like my list is a list of other lists LOL. But here’s what it boils down to this week.
    1) Express gratitude in my journal each day.
    2) Share my evolving story each day.
    3) Be patient with my family and their needs.
    4) Fulfill my writing commitments.
    5) Exercise my voice in a brave new way.

  4. I’d say you are pretty focused already :-). As long as you are working on the things that are the most important to you, and are the best use of your time, then you’re doing the right thing.
This week, I must finish editing my book (or at least get close to it)!

    • Awwwww, honey, seriously, it really helps πŸ™‚

If I didn’t do a list like this I’d spend most of the time just faffing around and not achieving much at all 😦

Perhaps start with one thing….what do you want to achieve/complete this week? Go on, one thing?????

      Xx
