The Big Reveal *drum roll* Project Desk!

Ok, ready, this is exciting!!!!!!

I HAVE A DESK! Sorry, just had to shout lol. Well, ok, it’s not exactly a desk, more like a small table lol. But it’s my small table, in my little corner *grins* πŸ™‚

It’s taken a lot of reorganisation. We had to find a new space for the reading chair (otherwise known as the cats chair) so that has now gone in the living room. Then I had to clear 4 shelves of fiction TBR’s (to be reads) so some of them got packed in boxes, hubby’s went in piles down his side of the bed, mine, down my side of the bed. So now I have about 5 boxes of books at the bottom of my bed that I have to manoeuvre round to actually get to the desk. My bedroom has become an obstacle course, but I don’t care. I HAVE A DESK! lol. Sorry, can you tell I’m thrilled πŸ˜‰

Sooooo, now, I’m all set to write that brilliant best seller that’s gunna make me a fortune right? πŸ˜‰

  1. Yay! I’m counting down the sleeps until mine arrives! My friend has donated her childhood desk to my starving artist adventure and I can’t wait! I love your workspace, what a great spot- beside a bookcase and in front of a window!

I hope it’s full or inspiration, optimism and creativity. Congratulations!

    • Oooooo, exciting Sandra!!!!! πŸ™‚ What a lovely friend you have!

I’m so pleased with it πŸ™‚ It’s a shame I couldn’t of had it done before the summer, as the window opens and I could of had a lovely breeze πŸ™‚ Nevermind.

      Thanks honey xx

  2. Looks good, well done. A desk at last. I have desks everywhere but they are all covered in, dare I say junk? Maybe some of those snippets will continue now. Looking forward to reading your best seller. x

  3. Congratulations Vikki. Great to have your own creative space. I didn’t think I could ever work anywhere but in my study. But last winter it was so cold up there that I moved to the kitchen table. My desk is lovely, and my study is nice (although it’s getting full with sofa-bed, stationery and books). But the kitchen table is really big, and it’s in an extension with a large windows that let in the light. It’s like sitting in the garden without the wind. Where do I prefer to write? At the kitchen table. But then, I live on my own, so I’m not in anyone’s way. x

  4. Looks like a great corner and desk, Vikki….very welcoming. It’s so important to have your own space to create. I just painted my little office and now I’m looking to replace the old desk I have. Have a lovely weekend beginning or continuing on that best-seller. ;).

  5. That’s great! Every writer needs their place to call their own! Love it. My husband and I currently share a long Ikea table for a desk and we take turns with our stuff encroaching on the other person’s side. Looking forward to moving so I can have a bit more space πŸ˜‰

  6. I spent a good two weeks decorating (badly) and rearranging my room so I could have my desk back under my bedroom window, next to my bookshelve to. Ill have to post a picture, but i think it’s very important to have that space which is yours and only yours. And I’ll look forward to seeing your best seller, you must be done by now? Lol

  8. You’re probably going to have to closr those blinds otherwise everytime you get stuck, you’re going to be staring out of that window!

Well done on getting some space anyway.

  9. Okay now you’ve got this sweet desk space from which you are going to compose the next Great American Novel and become wickedly wealthy…but the hard part is convincing your husband that while you were staring out the window for the last 30 minutes, you were actually working…hahaha.

    Be encouraged!
