New Blog Schedule

As from the first of January I’ll be changing the blog schedule (and the layout) and will only be posting 4 days a week. It’s gunna feel weird, as I’m so use to posting every day, but, it will free up my time to do other things.

So the new schedule looks like this:

Mondays: Plans for the week
Tuesdays: Faber until April
Wednesdays: Nope, sorry, day off. Apart from one post once a month, IWSG!
Thursdays: Fraid not.
Fridays: A random post.
Saturdays: Faber once a month until April and random stuff.
Sundays: I’ll be chilling 😉

Some of the random posts will be fiction, inspirations, reviews and I’ll even share some pages from my journal. I’ve been working on a timetable (which I may share at some stage). And so far I have filled 12 hours every day with stuff I need to do *gulp*

Awwwww, it’s the end of an era! 😦 What will I do with myself? lol. Probably start wading through this lot and trying to write a novel *snigger*

I’d just like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to everyone who’s commented, liked, followed and read my blog. 2012 hasn’t been a bad year all told. There have been moments where I wanted to give up (blogging and writing), but I’m glad I stuck with it. I’ve met some fantastic people on this journey, and I’m so looking forward to sharing 2013 with you all 🙂

Don’t they say a change is as good as a holiday? 😉

Got any plans to change your Blog for 2013?

  1. Good luck with the new blog schedule, Vikki! It’s so impressive that you have been blogging every single day. What a change it will be for you to have some extra time available in 2013. Happy New Year!

  2. Best wishes on the blogging. It will be a nice change to your schedule I’m sure. I’m going to try a few changes. One will be to get myself better on track with my goal to blog twice a week(for my crazy life it’s enough). I also want to play around with my blog setup…not sure what yet….just need a change.

      • I did have a little go earlier in the year when my daughter was away and I was house sitting for her dogs so she could see what we were up to. I thought it was quite amuzing but I got lazy when she got back. I only told a few friends I was doing it. I used blogger which I don’t think was a good as good as wordpress. Maybe I will have another go but there are things go on in my life that I don’t think should be on the www. LOL. 🙂

      • It’s a very good way to keep up with people you don’t see much 🙂

Ahhhh, yeah, I don’t like Blogger (even though I have one, but I don’t use it). WordPress is much more user friendly especially the iPhone and iPad apps 🙂

Well, you don’t have to use your real name you know 😉

You know I’d read it don’t you! Lol 😉

        Xx

  4. I’m glad you stuck with it too! Hope the new schedule for 2013 gives you time to be even more productive! I’m going to try to blog twice a week in 2013, and have a bit more of a structure to what I say. Random posts are good, but not if they are all random!

I am going to aim to write twice a week next year. I started that a few months ago and then could not finish a post and it is still waiting several weeks later.

  6. Good idea! I have no idea how you have managed to blog every day! I have changes planned for my blog too – namely to actually blog! LOL! I aim to blog at least once a week on some scintillatingly interesting subject. 😉

  7. It will still be the best blog. I think with your workload, until the end of April at least, you have enough to do… I’m Facebooking and tweeting for less time each day. I shall check in once, at the end of each day. I’m doing a job for our darling Jayne, and editing FA at the same time, so Ineed to manage my time better. Lots of love, and Happy New Year, Vikki x

  9. Good luck with your new schedule. I admire you for writing nearly every day. I’m having a hard time keeping up with two posts a week. I’m working on a blog redesign that I hope to debut at the end of January. Stay tuned!

  10. I’m so pleased you made that decision – it will definitely free up some time for you to do all of your projects. Yes it certainly is the end of an era, but I will look forward to your posts 4 days a week. Not sure what I am going to do yet. Good luck 🙂

  11. You’ve never ceased to amaze me with how you manage to mix it up and keep things interesting in your daily posts. Whatever changes you make, don’t ever stop blogging! I would miss your posts terribly.
As for my blogging plans, A Scenic Route will continue the same as always in 2013, about four posts a month about anything that strikes my fancy, but usually writing related!

    Happy New Year, Vikki!

  12. A really fab year Vikki, you’ve been a shining star. Your output has been incredible, so a slow down won’t make much difference. My plans: I have a couple of threads I plan to keep writing on, to keep the blog ticking over, and will be blogging poetry now and again to develop that further.

  15. This still sounds like an ambitious and impressive schedule. I look forward to whatever you post. Your blogs are always enjoyable. I changed the format of my blog a few months ago. My main goal for blogging in 2013 is to be more consistent in posting. I’m aiming for weekly and that is stretching it. I don’t know how you do it. I also want to make more time for reading and commenting on the blogs I follow. I wish for a successful new year for all of us.

  16. I enjoy reading your posts so much! I understand cutting back the schedule. I’ve had to do that, and I was posting just twice a week. It works out thought because you’re right. You get some more writing done.
