G is for….

Gloria, who has been removed because I want to use her for my Nano 2012 novel.

Sorry you missed it 😦

A-Z Challenge

Ok, I really like Gloria….I’d love to be her mate 🙂 She sounds like she’s content, but is there something missing?

Yesterday’s prompt about it was a late night inspired a scene where a husband is trying to crawl into bed at 3am without waking his wife. He intends to lie about what time he got in….what he doesn’t know is that his wife is wide awake…..so where has he been? 😉 Today’s prompt is a candlelight vigil which makes me feel a bit sad, instantly….not really looking forward to that one lol

  1. I love the way you did these. Makes so much more sense than the lists of what’s their favorite color, how many siblings. This give much more of a sense of the character. I may have to borrow your layout. Love your characters.

  2. Nice character ‘sketch’ here! I can get a clear enough picture in my mind of her while at the same time come to my own vision of her in my mind which I think you want. Love the little details that give us more insight into who she is: she loves everything vintage, is “moody, stroppy and a typical Gemini” and we know she likes to do things her way. Makes me want more and that is indeed the point, huh? :).

    • Awwww, thanks hon 🙂

When I start a story I start with a character sketch like this, just the basics. The rest of their personality can then come through in the story, ie, how they would react to certain situations. I like to write the kind of stuff that I like to read 😉

  3. So far, you’ve done a great job of creating different and relatable characters. You had one mom who felt stuck in world as a homemaker, and here you have a single mom, who probably wants the best for her son. She is trying to work on her insecurities as she works and mommies.
