New Blog Schedule

Ok, so you all know I take on too much. You also all know that I’m a glutton for punishment and that I’m doing the A-Z Challenge again this year *snigger* but hell, I’m not superwoman! Lol

Soooo, during the month of April I won’t be doing my Must Do posts or Faber (we’ve only one class during April anyway) or the IWSG post. I will need my Sundays during April to research the writers I’ll be highlighting during the week πŸ˜‰

I’ve also decided that as from May I will only be blogging 3 days a week. Monday will be a catch up post, what I’ve been up to, where I am with the WIP and my plans for the week. The other 2 days will be Wednesday and Fridays. Wednesdays will be random stuff along the lines that I post now and Fridays I’ll post some fiction, as I really miss writing from prompts πŸ™‚

At the moment I’m feeling a bit…

and a touch…

and possibly a bit…

I know you’ll all understand, and I will still be around on the other days, reading your posts and commenting (when I’m able to).

Im also considering having a break, possibly in June when I go on holiday πŸ™‚

I hope you’ll stick around?

Have you ever had or considered having a break from blogging?

  1. Good for you with the new schedule. Yeah the A-Z I’m gonna try and read what I can. Today had company this evening but now can get back to screen writing homework. It’s the same but different from novel writing. Not easy. And I’ll try and e mail you some notes when I get a chance. You’ll find them interesting.

  2. Hey Vikki,

I’ve been thinking about a new blog schedule as well. Do what you need to do just as long as you come back. I took a break at the end if last year and things were slow getting back to it, but it was so needed.
Good luck with A to Z. I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

    • Thanks Sydney πŸ™‚

I have to work to a schedule or I’d be blogging every day and completely wearing myself into the ground! It keeps me controlled lol.

Awwwww, thank you πŸ™‚ Good luck if you decide to go with a schedule xx

  3. I’ve never had a schedule either – and I just blog when I feel like it, trying to make it at least once a month. It’s supposed to be fun, after all – and I’d see it as a chore if I had a schedule! Have a break, Vikki – recharge! x

  4. It seems here lately I’ve been taking breaks too often and I’m lucky if I’m posting once a week, but I’m trying to at least manage that. It’s just a matter of life and not having my own thoughts together. I have plenty of time.

  5. Your writing must come first, so good for you! I’m still managing a post a day for 2013 – but I’m sure I will be burned out by the end. I’m still struggling to figure out how I am posting when I’m in England in July – eeek!
Take care and let your muse free on the page.

  6. So understand! Even 3 posts a week gets difficult at times. I’m impressed people can decide oh, on this day I promise to write about this and on the next day posts are scheduled to be about that….now that’s discipline….my posts are all screaming and demanding time – they slug it out to see who gets keyboard time (and not always the best one wins?)
    Make time to write!

    • Thanks honey, and your posts are so in depth, often requiring a lot of research!

Ha ha ha, I think I got into a rut with the Monday to do lists and the Tuesday writing class notes, so I kind of fell into a schedule. Perhaps you’re right and I should try the ad hoc approach….hmmmmm, thanks honey, will have a think about it πŸ™‚

  7. My blogs are few and far between while I’m trying to find the time to do everything on my plate, Vikki. The faithful followers always come back – feel free to blog whenever you feel like it and take that break in June – we’re not gong anywhere! πŸ˜‰

  8. I’ll be looking forward to your A-Z posts, though I will miss the Faber updates!
I had a bit of a blogging break the past few weeks, but I’m hoping to get back at it. As for an intentional break, I doubt that will happen. There’s always something I feel compelled to share–as long as it’s no more than my once per week goal. πŸ™‚
