  1. Sent you a picture very similar to yours after the celebration! We celebrated my birthday by seeing an opera at the Sydney Opera House. A dream I had to see an opera with my now partner who was then living 17,000km away and visiting me for 2 1/2 weeks at the time. 🙂

  2. It had been a high class wedding, exactly as planned. Once or twice Roger thought he caught Lucy with a melancholy expression on her face, but when he whispered a brief enquiry she just assured him she was sad her mother was not present.
Now, the day after all the excitement, they were finally on their own. As they arrived in the bridal suite at the hotel room, Roger noted with satisfaction that the champagne and roses were waiting just as ordered. He offered to fill the glasses, but Lucy shook her head. “Not right now, darling,” she said. “I just want to go for a walk, clear my head a little.”
Roger was all ready to go with her, but she refused, assuring him that she would not be long.
That had been four hours ago. The ice in the champagne bucket had already melted in the heat, and Roger had all but worn a path in the luxurious carpet with his pacing. He had called reception an hour ago, and the local police shortly after that, but there was no news. His new wife had simply vanished without explanation.

  3. What could two characters celebrate that wouldn’t be cliche? A secretary buys the champagne for her boss who she expects will be promoted. In a strange turn of events, her boss – a hopeful future executive – discovers not only did someone outside the company receive the promotion, her boss tells her she is part of the staff being laid-off. Perhaps a touch too realistic. It’s so easy to go for romance though. Good picture!
