I decided yesterday morning, whilst eating breakfast, that I would skip some lessons that day. I really valued everything I learnt here last year, but, I found myself utterly exhausted and completely written out by the end if the week.
Soooooo, I had a fairly lazy morning. When I say lazy, I don’t mean laying on my bed knapping, I mean writing, real writing (fiction from my prompts) oh, and selling raffle tickets….no, that should be attempting to sell raffle tickets lol (one of my Stewardly duties).
Me and Jayne have managed to flog approx 280 tickets! π
The prize? A free place at the school next year!!!! π
Other Stewardly duties today have been to point a delegate in the direction of the Lake, give another some change, help a lady who was locked out of her accommodation block, and direct people to various classrooms and halls lol
I did go to Linda’s class, and we got some homework *gulp* I’m still trying to come up with a short story based on this lot π Any ideas guys?
The last “class” of the day was Twitter vs Facebook with Della Galton and Peter Jones which was a lively debate on which social media network is best.
The result at the end when the audience voted? 16-16 lol….a complete draw!!!!!
We then discussed which was better for authors, and then the vote went 12 to Facebook, 21 to Twitter. What would you vote for?
The evening was spent trying to sell more raffle tickets and attending the Buskers night, arranged by Mark π Here are our “Buskers”
Falling into bed at 00.40….Zzzzzzzzzz
Pregnant woman jilts man at the alter and runs for the Isle of Wight, pursued by her father and husband to be… who may or may not be the baby’s dad… And photos on the bride’s digital camera may (or may not) hold the answer…? Or something… π Actually, that sounds like Eastenders….

I’d say Twitter is better for authors – it’s a bit more interractive I think. Glad you are having a good time π

Like those prompts, the first thing that occurred to me was a hotel on Isle of Wight, and those random conversations held of a series of breakfast tables perhaps from the perspective of the waitress.

I love people watching, especially in hotels! I recently watched a wedding party having breakfast on the morning after the big day. The hotel was in Cardiff. Fascinating listening to it all!

Hi Vikki,
I have both accounts, I find that I use twitter more. Not sure why, but twitter is more grown up lol if that makes any sense.
Hope you can come up with a story from your prompts. π

Well, going on the debate I attended, the general consensus seems to be that you need both I’m afraid, so my advice would be….join, I’m afraid….*says the person who hasn’t joined Twitter* lol π
Seriously, Rebecca Woodhead says you should be on ALL social media platforms….it’s how you build your “tribe” π
Good luck honey xx

Attempt to be lazy and have a lazy day, and the events will surely come your way. Sounds like you had a great deal of fun.
As I’m not one for much attention, I would likely choose neither. I don’t really find Facebook to useful as it is, and I don’t use Twitter, because I do not deem myself a βtwitβ. β The service does seem to offer a rather wide selection of aggravation, harassment, irritation, and mockery. So, all in all, I suppose the name suits the service. Well thought!
