We had a lovely sunny day yesterday here in Kent. It was so nice that we had the first Barbecue of the year, all sitting out in the garden, Albie doing laps around the table looking for scraps. And then i get up this morning and its grey, dark and raining. Who stole Spring? π¦
Anyway, today is “S” day on the A-Z Challenge. Im very proud of myself already that I’ve managed to get this far, but iΒ will get to Z π
Today’s random word is Shiver and has inspired a book blurb.
Vet Harriet Randall chose a small village in Wales for her new practice, preferring the quiet solitude and slower pace than that in the city. Besides, now the divorce was final she needed to be as far away from James as possible.
But Harriet and the village of Penterry are about to be engulfed by the worlds media after Harriet discovers a new strain of the NCoV virus in Mrs Jones Spaniel Puchie.
Paul Martin Eldridge @ FreeDigitalPhotos
As residents of the village start to shiver with the first signs of the virus Harriet is convinced she knows the cure, but nobody will listen. Quarantined, the village surrounded by armed soldiers, can Harriet escape and find what she needs to create the antidote? And will James be the only person she can trust?
Cue dramatic “dun dun dun” music lol…not my usual sort of genre, but I enjoyed that π
Now write the novel Vikki. It is a brilliant scenario and you could do it.

Oh I can’t wait for warmer weather. I love being outdoors, and it would be nice NOT to have a slight cold all the time. π
Good luck with what’s left of the challenge, Vikki!

Hi again. We’ve got another grey, rainy morning over here in Ontario too. But rainy days are not exactly un-spring, they’re not really a slide back into winter. They’re just the dark side of spring. π
Cool blurb, great to see you again.

Spring is playing peek-a-boo in the US this year too. Snowing one day and pushing 80 degrees the next. π Good luck with the rest of the A to Z Challenge. It’s taking a whole lot more time than I’d thought it would, but I’m enjoying it.

Hi Caroline *waves* π
Yeah, its probably too late to start the A-Z officially, but you could always do your own version. Im considering doing an Alternative A-Z on my food blog π
