Awwwww, I like Scarlet 🙂 I think she needs a bit of romance in her life, a man who is determined to prove to her that there is a happy ever after. Perhaps there’s another market trader who has been watching her for a while? Or, things start coming true in her horoscopes?

Yesterday’s prompt didn’t get done 😦 I’m not too sure what’s wrong with me to be honest. Apart from these characters, it’s like I’m avoiding all other writing tasks 😦 Today’s prompt is when stars align which is apt don’t you think? Perhaps Scarlets story will get written after all 😉

the long and the short of it

If someone had told me that one day I’d be writing for a living and running a very successful writing school I’d have laughed in their face. It had taken redundancy and then the death of my father for me to realise I had to do something about my dream of being a writer. Up until then I had scribbled short stories for my own enjoyment and written copy for my breed club magazine. I wasn’t even sure I had it in me to be a published writer and was frightened that my dream would fail. It was a very nervous me that ventured into an adult education class in 1998 after first checking that I wouldn’t have to stand up and read my work out loud. Within one term I was eager to learn more, I was devouring writing magazines, sending off submissions and entering competitions. I even started…

Go Queenie!!!!! Awwwww, I love her 🙂 lol. Will the nephew get his way and shove her in an old people’s home? Orrrrrrrr…..will she run away? No, she wouldn’t leave the cats. Hmmmm, what if the cafe closed? So many choices lol

Yesterday’s prompt about the black ice turned into the start of a story about a woman having a car accident, not being able to control her car on an icy road. Today’s prompt is you’re on a 2 lane highway which I’ll probably use in the same story….very convenient 😉

So, poor old Patrick….being harassed by a teenage girl lol (shouldn’t laugh, it’s not funny really). What should he do? difficult one as he is attracted to the girl and she is nearly 18 (here in the UK you’re a full adult then). Perhaps she has ulterior motives? Is she being dared by her friends?

Yesterday’s prompt about moving into the new house ended up as a monologue about a woman who is having to leave the home she loves because of a ‘Compulsory Purchase Order’ 😦 Today’s prompt is write about black ice which will probably turn into another sad one 😉

So that’s Olivia 🙂 I’m not sure I really like her, she seems a bit, I dunno…. We have an expression here in the UK (or perhaps it’s just London) “up herself” lol. That’s kinda how I see her lol. Probably very blinkered and opinionated. So what can I do to spice it up? I actually feel like I want to wind her up and watch her fly *snigger* 😉

Today’s prompt about a meeting at a party ended up being a sweet little story about a guy and girl who both hate parties, meeting there and finding something to do that was far more entertaining (nooooo, nothing like that, I’m not into erotica lol). Today’s prompt is “Moving into the new house…” something I’ve had a lot of experience of 🙂

Hmmmmm, Nick, a nice bloke, but husband material? No way lol. How do you see him ending up? A very lonely middle aged man? Landing the perfect job, working for a travel show? Going to the US and breaking his ex’s heart?

I’ve caught up with my prompts 🙂 The passing sorrow ended up being about a woman who’s husband had died (don’t know how yet) and she decides to go to stay with her aunt for a while. Not sure what’s going to happen there lol. The history of whispers turned into the start of a story about a girl who finds out her parents found her as a baby abandoned in a bus shelter, and yesterday’s prompt which was about being on the edge prompted the start of a story about an old lady who robs a bank *snigger* 🙂 Tomorrow’s prompt is it’s who you met at a party. that sounds like it could be fun!

1. I got married on the first available Saturday after my 18th birthday 🙂

2. I still miss my little dog Bill who died nearly 2 years ago 😦

3. I collect Rumtopfs lol

4. I paint my nails. I alternate between red, black and purple. My 3 favourite colours.

5. My favourite cheese is Brillat Savarin.

6. I have a purple case for my Netbook.

7. I wear black eyeliner nearly every day. My favourite is the Dior waterproof one 🙂

Will have to pass this on at a later date, when I have time to do some research on who has already had it lol 😉

A-Z Challenge

I think Liam’s story is so sad, and probably true of so many of the homeless in London.So where do we go from here? Do I give him a happy ending? I’d like to think that his girlfriend and parents are looking for him. He wasn’t speeding, it was a horrible accident and in his absence he has been exonerated of all charges. A witness came forward to say there was nothing he could have done. But even knowing that, would the guilt still be too much to live with?

I had a writing session this morning with Elizabeth Haynes which resulted in the completion of a 2600 word short story and I got the last 2 prompts done that I’d got behind with. Todays prompt is write about a passing sorrow so that’s more doom and gloom lol
